Fishes & Loaves Foodbank

Fishes & Loaves/Meals on Wheels

Fishes and Loaves Cooperative Ministries, founded in January 2011, is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Our Mission is to provide healthy food at reasonable prices to our neighbors in Hazelwood and Greenfield. We started by shopping for neighbors, then we added Meals on Wheels, a free lunch program, Emergency Food Boxes, Senior Boxes, a fridge with free food (24/7/365) and most recently the monthly Hazelwood Food Pantry.

We do not charge for services, and we accept donations and grants from foundations. We provided nearly 12,000 pounds of emergency food to 253 people in 2024. Through our Meals on Wheels program, we have delivered almost 30,000 meals to over 60 individuals and provided over 2,900 free lunches on a grab and grow basis.

We added a refrigerator to our porch—Free Food for Everyone. Your donation supports the Meals on Wheels in Hazelwood and Greenfield along with Emergency Food and the Free Lunch Program. We delivered Senior Boxes to 12 of our neighbors on the first Wednesday of each month.

In February 2025, we took on the monthly Food Pantry previously sponsored by the local YMCA. We now provide food to over 100 families each month through this program. Free groceries are offered to community members on the first Saturday of every month from 10 am to noon.

Please call 412-421-5648 to sign up in advance.

John Butler Studio

John Butler Studio

John Butler is a compelling local artist whose work in mixed media acrylics and ink blurs the line between chaos and composition. With a tactile approach that embraces the torn edge and the unexpected overlap, John constructs vivid collages layered with emotion and texture. His use of ripped paper isn’t just technique—it’s a philosophy, reflecting the fragmented, reassembled nature of human experience. Each piece invites the viewer into a world where color and form are in constant conversation, asking not just to be seen, but felt.
