Supporting the Center Together
Community-driven leadership and support
The Spartan Center is managed by dedicated volunteer staff members who work hard to keep rental rates affordable for the community. Their responsibilities include fielding maintenance requests to ensure the building remains safe and functional, coordinating the shared calendar of events for both Spartan and community members, and collaborating on upgrades such as WiFi, electrical improvements, and cosmetic enhancements. In addition, they partner with local groups to sponsor events at the Center and host community meetings, including those for the Greater Hazelwood Community Collaborative (GHCC) and Literacy Pittsburgh.
We help people come together, share ideas, and build something meaningful—together.
